About the Program

Franklin County Commissioners established the Historical Preservation Fund to deposit and expend funds related to historic preservation, with funds received from a document recording fee, per RCW 36.22.170.

Franklin County has established the Historical Preservation Grants (HPG) Program to promote historic preservation or historic programs within the borders of Franklin County to increase knowledge and service to residents and better preserve, exhibit, and interpret historic items.

In furtherance of the mission of the Historical Preservation Grant Program, Franklin County is requesting proposals from interested entities to promote historic preservation or programs in Franklin County. Recipients of funding from this grant must be government entities or IRS-recognized non-profit 501(c)(3) entities and must be physically located in Franklin County and provide services to Franklin County residents.
