Solid Waste
The Solid Waste Division reviews existing conditions regarding waste reduction, reuse, recycling, and disposal activities throughout Franklin County. Our goal is to educate and describe alternatives for maintaining or improving successful recycling programs and implementing new programs, as well as to make recommendations on the most reasonable alternatives.

NOTICE OF FRANKLIN COUNTY SOLID WASTE ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that it is the intention of the Franklin County Solid Waste Advisory Committee (SWAC) to hold quarterly public meetings on the 3rd Wednesday of a month in that quarter. The next meeting will be March 18, 2026 at 1110 Osprey Pointe in Pasco, WA. Meeting minutes are available at: https://www.franklincountywa.gov/465/Solid-Waste
The purpose of the quarterly meetings is to review standard business items and continue the review of the Solid Waste Management Plan Update (SWMP). RCW 70A.205.075 requires each County to review their plan every 5 years and revise as necessary.
